Main
characteristic
The
lathe TC52 has been conceived to turn the various types of brake shoes of
trucks, busses and light commercial vehicles in a precise and fast
way.
The
brake shoes assembly is fixed on the rotating table by means of some
accessories specifically designed to exactly reproduce the same
situation of the same ones when mounted on the wheel hub and the
turning is executed by a vertical movement of the toolholder.
The
intermittent feeding
The
lathe TC52 works by
means of the well known intermittent feeding.
By
means of the intermittent feeding, which acts on the displacement of
the tool-holder group, the
tool engraves parallels circles on the brake shoes surface.
We avoid in this way the formation of the classical spiral
effect on the turned surface which is the main responsible of the
axial displacement of the brake shoes and of their early wear and
tear.
